Introducing Nemo: A Global Force in Italian Lighting Design
We’re excited to welcome Nemo to the Lighterior lineup, a brand that blends historical significance with modern design sensibility across both architectural and decorative lighting.
Founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina, Nemo Lighting has become a respected name in Italian lighting design, celebrated for its sculptural clarity, innovation and enduring form. While rooted in Italy’s design tradition, Nemo has always taken a global approach, working with a diverse group of pioneering designers from around the world.
Central to the collection is The Masters series - a tribute to influential 20th-century figures such as Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Vico Magistretti and Franco Albini. These timeless pieces remain as relevant today as ever, often seen in interiors that value thoughtful design, clean lines and atmosphere.
Alongside these design legends, Nemo collaborates with a new generation of talent including Arihiro Miyake, Bernhard Osann and Jehs+Laub. Their work expands the collection into new territory, combining material exploration and poetic form across pendants, wall lights, floor lamps and more.
Whether you're drawn to the refined geometry of Miyake’s In The Wind or the industrial minimalism of Perriand’s Applique Pivotant, Nemo’s lighting designs feel both intentional and expressive. Crafted for a wide range of interiors, they elevate not just the space, but how the space is experienced.

Le Corbusier
Known for his early passion for fine art, Le Corbusier approached architecture as an extension of painting and sculpture. His work is characterised by clean lines and bold geometric forms, reflecting his belief that all creative disciplines are interconnected.
Our eyes are made to see forms in light; light and shade reveal these forms; cubes, cones, spheres, cylinders or pyramids are the great primary forms which light reveals to advantage; the image of these is distinct and tangible within us without ambiguity. It is for this reason that these are beautiful forms, the most beautiful forms."

Charlotte Perriand
An architect, designer and adventurous spirit, Charlotte Perriand was a trailblazer in modern design. From the early 20th century, she redefined aesthetic values through work that was both visionary and enduring - creating objects that still feel contemporary today.

Arihiro Miyake
Born in Japan in 1975, Arihiro Miyake studied design in Kobe before moving to Finland to complete a Master’s degree at Aalto University. In 2014, he established his own studio, working across interiors, furniture and lighting. His collaboration with Nemo has produced standout pieces like In the Wind and Kepler - designs that push the boundaries of form and movement.
I am drawn to experimenting with techniques never tried before, which of course leads to challenging projects. NEMO represents for me the brand through which to develop and convey new innovative products."
